Point all path references at the new users/, home/, modules/, hosts/, lib/
locations, and document the user registry, the multi-user host model, and
the portable homeConfigurations / homeModules outputs.
Separate user identity (data) from the reusable modules, and let a host
declare any number of users instead of exactly one.
- users/registry.nix: per-user identity (name, email, groups, authorized
and signing keys) as the single source of identity; no user data is
hardcoded in the modules.
- mkHost takes a `users` set keyed by username; per-user identity is
injected into each home config via the `identity` module arg
(extraSpecialArgs is per-host, so it cannot carry per-user data).
- modules/users.nix builds accounts from the registry; modules/ssh.nix no
longer defines authorized keys (the registry owns them); home/git.nix
and home/desktop.nix read `identity`; users/emmathorpe/work.nix drops
its now-redundant git identity override.
- Restructure the tree: users/, home/, modules/, hosts/, lib/ replace the
former lyrathorpe/ and system/ layout.
- Add standalone homeConfigurations (the portable subset: shell, git,
editor, claude) and an exported homeModules output for use on machines
not managed by this flake, or as an input to other flakes.
Behaviour-preserving for existing hosts: lyrathorpe-mbp and
emmathorpe-edaas evaluate to identical derivations; lyrathorpe-t400,
lyrathorpe-macpro31 and lyrathorpe-rpi5 differ only by de-duplicating a
repeated authorized_keys entry. Fixes the SSH authorized-key leak (one
user's key was applied to every account), the hardcoded default git
identity, and the hardcoded EDaaS linger setting.
The NixOS-WSL module's wslConf.interop submodule declares only `enabled`
and `appendWindowsPath`. `register` and `includePath` are not valid
wsl.conf interop keys, and the freeform INI type does not cover keys
nested under the already-declared `interop` group, so they were rejected
as unknown options. Remove them.

catppuccin v2.0.0 renamed its lualine theme files; there is no longer a
plain "catppuccin" theme, only per-flavour files (catppuccin-mocha, etc.)
and catppuccin-nvim. The old name no longer resolved, so lualine fell back
to the auto theme and emitted a notice. Pin to catppuccin-mocha to match
the configured colorscheme flavour.

Add system/machine/RPi5/README.md (flash/boot, regenerate hardware-config,
Docker-socket security caveat and remote-client usage, how to add a
reverse-proxy vhost). Add lyrathorpe-rpi5 to the README host table and note
that the swayDesktop flag now lives in system/modules/features.nix so headless
hosts keep TTY login.
Add the aarch64-linux Raspberry Pi 5 host to the host table: the RPi5
machine config, the raspberry-pi-5 nixos-hardware profile, and key-only
sshd. Headless, so no swaywm.nix; base home modules only.
lyrathorpe/user.nix reads features.swayDesktop.enable on every host, but the
option was declared inside lyrathorpe/swaywm.nix -- so a host that does not
import swaywm.nix (a headless server) would fail evaluation. Move the option
declaration to a new always-imported system/modules/features.nix and wire it
into baseModules; swaywm.nix keeps only its implementation (config) block.
Headless hosts can now omit swaywm.nix and the flag defaults to false.
Tie the RPi5 submodules together: import hardware-config, docker.nix and
reverse-proxy.nix; pin networking.hostName to the flake attr name so nh
resolves; use U-Boot/extlinux boot (raspberry-pi-5 profile supplies kernel +
firmware); enable key-only sshd and a default-deny firewall opening 22.
Headless -- swaywm.nix is not imported, so swayDesktop stays off.
Enable nginx with the recommended proxy/TLS/optimisation/gzip settings and a
declarative virtualHosts table -- each proxied service is a Nix entry, so the
routing lives in-repo. Ships one HTTP-only example vhost; enableACME/forceSSL
are present but commented, to be flipped per-vhost once a DNS name and cert
exist. Opens 80 and 443.
Enable Docker and expose the daemon over TCP 2375 by extending the systemd
docker.socket ListenStream (avoids the daemon.json hosts vs unit -H fd://
conflict). The port is not added to allowedTCPPorts; instead an nftables
rule accepts it only from the trusted LAN subnet. Plain 2375 is
root-equivalent, so the source restriction is the only safeguard -- mTLS on
2376 is the documented upgrade path.
Committed so the lyrathorpe-rpi5 host evaluates in CI before the Pi is
provisioned. It is a placeholder, not a bootable config: on first install,
regenerate it on the device with nixos-generate-config and replace this file.
Excluded from formatters/linters by the existing hardware-configuration.nix
rules.
This job is a required status check on main. The workflow was path-filtered
to **.nix/flake.lock/ci.yaml, so a PR touching none of those (e.g. a
.renovaterc.json-only change) skipped the workflow entirely, leaving the
required check pending forever and making the PR unmergeable.
Run the workflow on every PR so the check is always reported, but keep a
'detect' step that diffs the PR against its base and runs nix flake check
and the per-host evals only when a .nix file, flake.lock, or this workflow
changed. When nothing Nix-relevant changed the heavy steps skip and the job
still passes, so the required check stays green-reportable without burning a
full evaluation on unrelated changes. Checkout uses fetch-depth: 0 so the
diff has the base history.
The host inherited the stock NixOS default hostname 'nixos', which does not
match the flake's nixosConfigurations attribute 'emmathorpe-edaas'. nh
selects the configuration by the local hostname, so bare 'nh os switch'
failed to resolve. Pin the hostname to the attribute name so it resolves
without an explicit -H/--hostname flag.
git.nix and work.nix both define user.signingkey. They used to hold the
same value, which types.str tolerates, but git.nix now sets the personal
key while work.nix sets the work key, so the two plain definitions
conflict on the EDaaS host.
Mark git.nix's signingkey as mkDefault, mirroring user.email: personal
hosts get the personal key, and work.nix's plain work-key definition wins
on the work host.
home-manager renders ~/.config/gh/config.yml as a read-only /nix/store
symlink whenever programs.gh is enabled (unconditionally, not gated on
settings). gh rewrites that file on 'gh auth login' and 'gh config set',
which then fail with a permission error.
Suppress the managed config.yml via xdg.configFile and drop the
settings.git_protocol declaration that created it; gh now owns the file.
The token lives in hosts.yml, which home-manager never manages. Set the
SSH protocol at runtime with 'gh config set git_protocol ssh'.
programs.gh.enable (in shell.nix) already installs gh, so the explicit
pkgs.gh was redundant. pkgs.tea was also declared in shell.nix; keep the
single declaration there and remove the duplicate here.
Flesh out programs.htop: tree view, sensible highlights, hidden kernel
threads, left CPU/Memory/Swap bar meters and right Tasks/LoadAverage/Uptime
text meters. color_scheme = 0 inherits the terminal's Catppuccin Mocha
palette, as htop has no custom-theme support of its own.
Drop the explicit pkgs.htop: programs.htop.enable already installs it.
The zcompdump reset was declared under home.actiVation (stray capital V),
an unknown option that fails module evaluation, so the activation script
never ran. Restore the correct home.activation attribute.
Extend the daily Renovate review so it triages instead of only advising,
and surface results in the interactive shell.
- Auto-approve: PRs graded low risk (patch/minor bumps to tooling, infra,
test or framework libs; symmetric diff; CI passing; no app logic) that
are not already approved get an APPROVE review via
pull_request_review_write. These repos automerge on approval, so this
merges them with no human in the loop -- intentional. Medium/high risk,
failing/pending CI, stale branches and anything needing judgement are
left untouched for Emma. No merge tool is granted.
- State + reminder: each run records ~/.local/state/renovate-review/
{last-run,needs-review.txt}. A once-a-day interactive zsh reminder
(programs.zsh.initContent) warns if the timer hasn't run, lists the PRs
needing review, or confirms an all-clear.
Verified: nix build (eval + shellcheck) green; triage parsing and the
reminder's run/stale/all-clear/throttle branches exercised against
synthetic state. The first live auto-approval is left for a supervised
scheduled/manual run.
Add a systemd user timer on the EDaaS/WSL host that runs Claude Code
headless once a day (08:47) to review Renovate dependency PRs awaiting
Emma's review. It queries GitHub via the project-scoped github MCP
server, excludes PRs against archived repositories, grades each PR's
risk, and writes a recommendation-only summary to the journal
(journalctl --user -u renovate-review). It never approves or merges.
- lyrathorpe/home/renovate-review.nix: wrapper + service + timer.
Auth is Vertex AI via the inherited project/region/model env; Claude
Code provisions its own network egress, so no proxy is set. The
prompt lives in a store file so its literal backticks/$ don't trip
shellcheck in the wrapper.
- lyrathorpe/home/work.nix: import the module (host-scoped to EDaaS).
- system/machine/EDaaS/configuration.nix: enable user linger so the
timer fires without an attached login session.
Touch ID for sudo failed because pam_tid can't reach the GUI session
from inside tmux (terminals here auto-start tmux); enable sudo_local
reattach (pam_reattach) so the session is re-attached first. Also drop
the dock autohide and tilesize defaults.

nix-darwin 26.05 forces activation to run as root, and mas cannot reach
the App Store/StoreKit session from root, so homebrew.masApps silently
failed to install. Remove the masApps list; install those apps by hand
with `mas install <id>` from a GUI Terminal. The mas CLI stays in
systemPackages for that.

nixpkgs' openssh lacks Apple's keychain patch, so `UseKeychain yes` is
rejected as "Bad configuration option" when that ssh is on PATH. Prefix
it with `IgnoreUnknown UseKeychain` (the module emits IgnoreUnknown first)
so a non-Apple ssh skips it while Apple's ssh still honours it. Still
Darwin-only.

The tmux statusline draws powerline/Nerd glyphs that default fonts lack,
so they render as blank/"?". tmux runs on every host (not just the Sway
ones), so install the font in the shared common-nixos module rather than
swaywm -- a future console-only or non-Sway host gets it too. The Mac
installs it via the Darwin config (/Library/Fonts). foot names it as its
main font (home/sway.nix).
On macOS, iTerm2's font is still a GUI setting: Settings -> Profiles ->
Text -> Font -> "JetBrainsMono Nerd Font".

tmux-direct as default-terminal desyncs zsh's line redraw on some
terminals (iTerm2: duplicated characters on Tab, stray newlines). Switch
to the standard tmux-256color and advertise truecolor per outer terminal
via terminal-features (add xterm-256color:RGB alongside the foot ones).
Also add a NO_TMUX escape hatch to the auto-start guard, so
`NO_TMUX=1 <terminal>` opens a bare shell.

The scheduled `nh clean` only reclaimed disk and risked reaping store
paths the current generation still references (notably on nix-darwin).
Keep `programs.nh` (nicer rebuilds + $NH_FLAKE) but remove clean.enable;
GC manually (`nh clean all` / `nix-collect-garbage -d`) when nothing
important is running. The resetZcompdump activation stays as a safety net
for stale completion dumps across rebuilds/manual GC.

The home-manager bump deprecated programs.ssh.addKeysToAgent /
matchBlocks / the implicit default block. Move to programs.ssh.settings
with enableDefaultConfig = false, carrying the old defaults under
settings."*" plus AddKeysToAgent, the Darwin UseKeychain, and the
code.emmathe.dev (Port 30009) host. Silences all three ssh warnings.
Also drop ~/.zcompdump on each activation: a stale dump caches /nix/store
paths to completion functions, and once a rebuild or the weekly nh GC
removes them compinit fails with "_git: function definition file not
found" for every completion. Deleting it forces a fresh rebuild from the
current fpath.

Move the tmux auto-start out of the graphical-only desktop layer into the
shared shell config so it also covers WSL, iTerm2 and the Linux console
(folded into programs.zsh.initContent via mkMerge alongside the SSH PS1
block). Same guards: interactive, not-already-in-tmux, not-SSH,
not-VS-Code, tmux-present.
ssh: run a user ssh-agent on Linux (macOS uses launchd) and add keys on
first use (addKeysToAgent), so the passphrase is entered once per login
session instead of per commit/push -- which also feeds commit signing.
macOS additionally caches in the login keychain (UseKeychain). The work
box keeps its own ~/.ssh/config (programs.ssh forced off there); its
ssh-agent still runs via the work module.

Opening a terminal (foot) execs `tmux new-session -A -s main`, so every new
terminal lands in the multiplexer; panes run a plain non-login zsh. Guarded
to interactive, not-already-in-tmux, not-SSH, not-VS-Code, tmux-present --
preventing re-exec loops, hijacked scp/ssh shells, and lockout. Lives in the
graphical desktop layer, so the WSL work box keeps a plain shell.

The eval steps listed hosts by hand and still referenced lyrathorpe-x1c,
which was removed (replaced by t400/macpro31), so CI errored. Derive the
NixOS and Darwin host lists from attrNames of nixos/darwinConfigurations
instead, so adding or removing a host needs no workflow change.
Verified locally under bash: all current hosts (edaas, macpro31, mbp,
t400, mac) evaluate; no removed host is referenced.

Rebuild after the lock-maintenance bump surfaced two home-manager
warnings on the Firefox config added in #17:

Firefox draws its own chrome and ignores the GTK theme, so theme it at the
browser level. Add the rycee firefox-addons flake input and, in the
home-manager desktop layer, manage the Firefox profile (package = null --
the system programs.firefox in user.nix still provides the binary):
- install the Catppuccin Mocha theme add-on (catppuccin-mocha-mauve; only
the mauve accent is packaged upstream, so it differs slightly from the
blue accent used elsewhere),
- autoDisableScopes = 0 so it applies on first launch,
- ui.systemUsesDarkTheme + prefers-color-scheme override for dark chrome
and page content.
Verified the XPI fetches, user.js renders the prefs, finalPackage is null
(no duplicate Firefox), all Sway hosts eval, and EDaaS is unaffected.

Set gtk.gtk4.theme = config.gtk.theme so any GTK4 app added later is
themed too. GTK4 ignores gtk-theme-name, but home-manager renders this as
an `@import` of the theme's gtk-4.0/gtk.css into ~/.config/gtk-4.0/gtk.css
-- which libadwaita honours, since that file overrides the named colours
it uses (window_bg_color/accent_bg_color/view_bg_color, verified present
in catppuccin-gtk's GTK4 stylesheet). Setting it explicitly (to the same
value as the legacy default) also silences the stateVersion<26.05
default-change warning. nemo (GTK3) is unaffected.

From emmaisadev/dotfiles (tmux.conf): run a non-login shell
(default-command), drop the stock %/" split keys (the s/v vim splits
already come from reverseSplit), declare foot's terminal-features
(RGB/sync/clipboard/title/ccolour/cstyle), and raise the scrollback to
500000. Alt-arrow pane nav and mouse were already present. Also drop a
stale comment referencing the removed tty1 autostart.

- Screenshots to swappy: Print = drag a region, Shift+Print = focused
window (a writeShellScript reusing the grimshot.sh tree/jq logic).
Replaces the old plain full-screen grim->file.
- Workspace cycle Mod+z / Mod+x (prev/next).
- Media keys (playerctl) and mic mute (wpctl source).
- Re-home `focus mode_toggle` onto Mod+Alt+space (Mod+Space is the
launcher now).
- Clipboard history: services.clipman stores copies; Mod+c picks one
through a Catppuccin-themed fuzzel (programs.fuzzel).
- Binding modes: a layout submenu (Mod+y -> s/w/e, which also restores
split-toggle that Mod+e gave up to nemo) and a power menu
(Mod+Shift+x -> lock/exit/sleep/reboot/shutdown). Mod+l still locks
immediately.
- Touchpad tap + natural scroll (laptops; inert on desktop).
- Solid Catppuccin base as the wallpaper (output * bg, no image).
- foot: term=xterm-256color and scrollback 100000 (colours unchanged).
- swaywm.nix: add slurp/swappy/jq/playerctl to the session packages.
Skipped from the dotfiles: named workspaces + app auto-assign, the foot
--server/footclient setup, and pactl/MX-Master/lxqt device-specific bits.
All in the shared files, so every Sway host gets it.

Install nemo and bind it to Mod+e (mkForce, overriding the module
default `layout toggle split`). Add a home-manager `gtk` block so GTK
apps match the desktop: the Catppuccin Mocha GTK theme
(catppuccin-gtk, mocha/blue), with Adwaita icons + cursor as before.
Under Sway GTK reads ~/.config/gtk-*/settings.ini directly (no XSettings
daemon), so this themes nemo without extra env.

Two desktop-config fixes found together:
1. Keybindings: the previous Mod+Space launcher bind wrapped the set in
`lib.mkMerge [ { ... } (mkOptionDefault ...) ]`. A normal-priority
definition there wins over (and discards) the home-manager module's
default keybindings, which are at mkOptionDefault priority -- so every
default bind (terminal Mod+Return, movement, workspaces, kill, ...) and
even the custom swaylock/volume binds silently vanished; only Mod+Space
survived. That is why Super+Enter opened nothing. Restore the single
mkOptionDefault wrapper (so it merges with the module defaults) and
override just Mod+Space via lib.mkForce to beat the module's default
focus-mode_toggle without a same-priority conflict. Generated config
goes from 1 bindsym back to 57.
2. foot 1.27: the bare [colors] section is deprecated in favour of
[colors-dark], and `[cursor] color` is rejected ("not a valid option:
color"). Move the palette to colors-dark and set the cursor colour via
its `cursor` key ("<text> <cursor>"). `foot --check-config` now passes.

historySubstringSearch bound only the default CSI sequences (^[[A/^[[B),
so Up/Down did nothing at the prompt in foot and iTerm2, which send the
SS3 application-mode sequences (^[OA/^[OB). Bind both forms via
searchUpKey/searchDownKey; this covers foot, iTerm2 and the Linux TTY
(CSI).

ReGreet is plain GTK4 (no libadwaita in its closure), so it defaulted to
light Adwaita and my libadwaita-named colour overrides (window_bg_color,
accent_bg_color, ...) were inert -- a light theme with stray accents.
Force the dark Adwaita variant via GTK_THEME=Adwaita:dark in the greeter
wrapper, and override the GTK4 legacy colour names (theme_bg_color,
theme_fg_color, theme_selected_bg_color, borders, ...) that plain GTK4
actually references. The libadwaita names stay as harmless forward-compat.

greetd now owns tty1 and launches the Sway session, so the zsh
initContent that exec'd sway on tty1 login can never fire. Remove it (and
the now-unused lib arg), and refresh the module header (login is via the

Factor the Catppuccin Mocha palette into lyrathorpe/catppuccin-mocha.nix
so the desktop (home/sway.nix) and the system greeter (swaywm.nix) share
one source of truth, then theme ReGreet from it: GTK CSS (libadwaita
named colours + plain node selectors for window/entry/button/combobox)
plus Noto Sans to match the bar and notifications.
Verified the rendered /etc/greetd/regreet.css and regreet.toml
(font_name = "Noto Sans 16"), and that foot still resolves its colours
through the shared import.

Replace the mismatched theming (gruvbox i3status-rust, unthemed foot,
default Sway borders) with a single Catppuccin Mocha palette so the
desktop matches the Vim colorscheme. A `ctp` let-binding holds the raw
hex once; consumers add "#" as needed.
Themed: foot (16-colour + selection/cursor), i3status-rust ("plain" base
+ overrides, idle blocks on mantle, loud bg only for warning/critical),
Sway window borders and the bar/workspace buttons, swaylock (full
ring/inside/text set) and dunst (base/text bg, blue/peach frames).
Lives in the shared home/sway.nix, so every Sway host is themed
consistently. Vim already uses catppuccin_mocha, so the editor is
unchanged.

Only `menu` was set, which the module's default keybindings run on Mod+d;
Mod+Space defaulted to `focus mode_toggle`, so sway-launcher-desktop was
never reachable from Mod+Space. Add an explicit Mod+Space -> exec ${menu}
binding at normal priority (via mkMerge) so it overrides the default.
Mod+d still launches it as well.

Dvorak is a variant of the "us" XKB layout, not a layout of its own:
there is no symbols/dvorak file, so "dvorak" fails to compile.
In the greetd/cage greeter the keymap comes solely from XKB_DEFAULT_*, so
the failure left the greeter with no keymap and therefore no keyboard
input at all (mouse unaffected). Split it into
XKB_DEFAULT_LAYOUT=us + XKB_DEFAULT_VARIANT=dvorak.
The same mistake in the Sway session (home/sway.nix) was masked: the
default us keymap compiled and the failing override was silently dropped,
so the session ran QWERTY despite the dvorak setting. Use xkb_variant
there too so it is actually Dvorak.
console.keyMap = "dvorak" (workstation.nix) is unaffected -- that is a
kbd console map, a separate subsystem where "dvorak" is valid.

Split the T400 bootloader into self-contained, importable modules so the host
can match whatever firmware is flashed (switch by changing one import):
- boot-bios.nix stock BIOS / coreboot+SeaBIOS -> GRUB on the MBR (default)
- boot-coreboot-grub.nix coreboot GRUB payload -> config-only GRUB (device=nodev)
- boot-coreboot-uefi.nix coreboot Tianocore/UEFI payload -> systemd-boot; carries
its own ESP (/boot vfat) so it travels with the mode
Cover the optional discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 (RV620): load the open
`radeon` KMS driver in the initrd for early modesetting (firmware via
enableRedistributableFirmware), with a note on the T400's switchable graphics.
All three boot variants evaluate; nixfmt clean.

Intel microcode + redistributable firmware for iwlwifi, pipewire, sshd).
- lyrathorpe-macpro31: new desktop host (portable = false) importing
desktop.nix. Mac Pro 3,1 has 64-bit EFI -> systemd-boot; wired NetworkManager
via desktop.nix; desktop status bar (temperature + net, no battery).
Both ship hand-written placeholder hardware-configuration.nix (root/swap/ESP by
label, GRUB device /dev/sda) to be regenerated with nixos-generate-config and
committed at install time. All five host configs evaluate; nixfmt clean.

The bootloader is firmware-specific, not form-factor: UEFI hosts use
systemd-boot, BIOS hosts use GRUB. Drop boot.loader.systemd-boot.enable from
workstation.nix and declare it on the MBP instead, so the incoming BIOS-only
T400 (GRUB) doesn't have to force it off.

Add system/modules/desktop.nix (counterpart to laptop.nix): imports the
workstation base and uses wired NetworkManager instead of iwd.
Thread a `portable` flag (default true) through mkHost into specialArgs and
home-manager.extraSpecialArgs, mirroring username/fullName. lyrathorpe/home/
sway.nix consumes it to drop mobile components on desktop hosts:
- status bar swaps the battery block for CPU temperature + network throughput
- screen-brightness keybindings are omitted (no internal backlight)
No host uses desktop.nix yet; a future desktop host imports it and sets
`portable = false`. Verified by evaluating sway.nix both ways:
laptop -> [.. sound battery time] + brightness keys;
desktop -> [.. temperature net sound time], no brightness keys.

peaksea is neither in the plugin list nor packaged in nixpkgs vimPlugins,
so `colorscheme peaksea` errored on startup and vim fell back to the
default scheme. Add catppuccin-vim and select catppuccin_mocha (matching

The NixOS-WSL store is a read-only VHD whose files are owned by nobody
(65534), not root. programs.ssh.systemd-ssh-proxy.enable (default true)
adds `Include <systemd>/lib/systemd/ssh_config.d/20-systemd-ssh-proxy.conf`
to /etc/ssh/ssh_config. OpenSSH permission-checks Include'd config files
and rejects any not owned by root or the caller, so the nobody-owned
include fails with "Bad owner or permissions" and breaks ssh/git for
every command.
Disable it on the WSL host: the proxy plugin only serves `ssh unix/…` /
`vsock` connections to local machined VMs, which WSL does not use. Other
hosts keep the default (root-owned store, include works).

Add the installed App Store apps to homebrew.masApps so mas manages them declaratively: Amphetamine, Apple Configurator, Game Controller Tester, Keynote, Numbers, Pages, PDFgear, PL2303Serial, WireGuard.
Set home-manager.backupFileExtension = "backup" on the NixOS and Darwin base modules. Existing machines carry hand-written ~/.zshrc and ~/.zshenv that home-manager would refuse to overwrite, aborting activation. With a backup extension, the originals are saved as .backup and activation proceeds. The oh-my-zsh setup is already declared in lyrathorpe/home/shell.nix, so the generated files supersede the old ones.
Migrate the prior Homebrew package set onto the nix-darwin host. Leaf CLI formulae move to nixpkgs (environment.systemPackages); pure library deps are dropped since nix resolves them transitively. firefoxpwa and version-pinned llvm@21/lld@21/python@3.14 stay on brew. All GUI apps remain brew casks, since nixpkgs darwin GUI support is unreliable.
Add the nix-homebrew input and darwin module so the Homebrew prefix is installed and owned declaratively (no manual bootstrap), with enableRosetta for x86_64 formulae on Apple Silicon and user = host username.
Set homebrew.onActivation.cleanup = zap so the taps/brews/casks/masApps lists are authoritative: anything not declared is removed on activation.
Turn on nix-darwin's homebrew module with empty taps/brews/casks/masApps lists to fill in, onActivation autoUpdate+upgrade, and cleanup=none (manual formulae left intact; flip to zap for fully authoritative lists). Set system.primaryUser so brew activation runs as the host user.
Add the nix-darwin input (nix-darwin-26.05, follows nixpkgs) and a mkDarwinHost mirroring mkHost: shared commonModule (nixpkgs/nix settings) is factored out and reused, home-manager is wired via darwinModules, and identity is threaded through specialArgs.
New darwinConfigurations.lyrathorpe-mac (aarch64-darwin) reuses the cross-platform ./lyrathorpe/home modules (shell, git, editor); Linux-only sway/desktop modules are excluded. Build with: darwin-rebuild switch --flake .#lyrathorpe-mac.
Add path filters so the workflow triggers only when *.nix files, flake.lock, or the workflow itself change, skipping CI for docs/markdown/unrelated edits.
CI workflow gates on nixfmt formatting and evaluates all three host toplevels (aarch64 evaluates without emulation; no full builds in CI).
renovate.json enables the nix manager and weekly lockFileMaintenance for flake.lock, plus grouped github-actions updates (Renovate matches .gitea/workflows). A self-hosted Renovate workflow runs it on Gitea, since Gitea has no built-in Renovate; it needs a RENOVATE_TOKEN secret.
Move ./emmathorpe -> ./lyrathorpe (git mv preserves history) and rename the MBP/X1 nixosConfiguration names to lyrathorpe-mbp / lyrathorpe-x1c. The EDaaS host keeps its emmathorpe-edaas name and Emma Thorpe identity; it still imports the shared (renamed) config dir.
Derivation outputs are byte-identical to before; pure relabel.
